Most PK3 and PK4 programs focus on basic preparation and socialization. At INIC, children enter a structured, research-informed program designed tobuild the language, academic, social-emotional, and independence skills needed for kindergarten and beyond… all while having tons of fun and making friends.
Note: preschool and pre-kindergarten are sometimes referred to as pre-kinder (Pk3: preschool, pre-k3, pre-k, pre-kinder; Pk4: pre-kinder, pre-kindergarten, pre-k4
Daily Spanish immersion supports strong communication skills and early bilingual ability.
Our structured, research-informed preschool curriculum ensures children are actively learning throughout the day. It’s designed how young children learn best, through movement, interaction, and hands-on experiences.
All children learn differently. That’s why INIC teachers use various teaching methods (e.g., visual aids, tactile tools, and interactive lessons).
We tailor our approach based on each child’s strengths and areas for improvement, helping them grow and reach their unlimited potential.
Teachers provide one-on-one attention when needed.
Children are encouraged to think independently, ask questions, and solve problems through guided challenges and interactive activities. This builds reasoning skills, curiosity, and confidence in approaching new situations.
Peer collaboration is an essential part of development. Children often excel when they learn alongside their peers. At INIC, children work together in small groups to master new skills and concepts. This cooperative learning approach fosters empathy, teamwork, and good citizenship.
Through consistent routines and supportive relationships, children develop empathy, cooperation, and emotional awareness. Confidence grows as children learn to communicate, collaborate, and navigate social situations.
Movement, sensory exploration, and hands-on activities support both cognitive and physical development. Children strengthen coordination, focus, and engagement while building the neural connections that drive learning.
INIC students are busy! They move around campus frequently – transitions take place nearly every 30 minutes (except at nap time). This movement is intentional, and essential for reaching learning milestones. (click here for daily pre-k3 pre-k4 schedules)
Children develop the skills needed for a smooth transition into kindergarten including focus, independence, communication, the ability to follow structured routines, and participate in a learning environment
INIC ratios are significantly better than public schools & Texas Minimum Standards. If class sizes exceed our set ratios during peak times, additional support is available.
Our PK3 and PK4 preschool program in Austin and Round Rock is designed for working families.
INIC’s Pre-K3 and Pre-K4 programs begin early and end late, to meet parents’ needs.
WatchMeGrow live streaming cameras provide secure access to your child’s classroom so parents can check in see how their day is going. This transparency builds trust and reinforces confidence in your child’s learning environment.
Procare is a convenient all-in-one system for parents.
Our smaller campus environment fosters strong relationships between families, teachers, and leadership, providing personalized communication, responsiveness, and a deeper sense of connection.
Many PK3 and PK4 programs require students to be fully potty-trained, but INIC understands that every child develops at their own pace.
Potty training starts at home, but our teachers are here to help parents and guide children as they learn to use the bathroom independently.
Our uniforms make life easier for parents and more predictable for students.
INIC teachers have a high standard of early childhood education and care.
Secure access systems, controlled entry points, and emergency readiness protocols help ensure a high standard of safety across all classrooms.

Parents have several ways to see their child’s development, progress, and classroom experience.
Our toddler –> Pre K3 –> Pre K4 program is designed as a progression for kindergarten readiness.
Children thrive when learning is sequenced with intention. A clear path from PK3 to PK4 to kindergarten helps students build confidence, avoid gaps, and enter their next classroom ready to participate, communicate, and succeed.

INIC embraces inclusivity, diversity, and cultural curiosity.
Through art, music, and traditional celebrations, our students explore American and international cultures.
We celebrate holidays such as Thanksgiving, Black History Month, Día de los Muertos, Chinese New Year, Children’s Day, and more, helping children gain a global perspective.
Children are introduced to science, technology, engineering, art, and math through hands-on exploration, building, creative problem-solving, and real-world discovery.
We focus on hands-on learning and do not use screens at INIC.
Structured play, imagination, movement, and games help children build creativity, collaboration, emotional regulation, and joyful engagement in learning.

Schools often use different terms for the same age-based programs. In most cases, the terminology is interchangeable and refers to the child’s age group rather than a different type of program.
