INIC Preschool celebrates education every day, with sensational teachers and comprehensive curriculum for babies, toddlers, preschoolers, and pre-k. Each January, International Day of Education shines an even brighter spotlight on learning. Here are some ways parents and kids can all celebrate education at home.

  1. Learning a new skill: While students develop math, social, writing, emotional, and science skills in the classroom, they have the opportunity to pick up additional skills outside of school. From playing instruments to drawing pictures, encourage your little scholar to try something new this. And, hey, parents…You may discover a new hobby, too!

  2. Providing a snack/meal: Proper nutrition for young children is essential, so help students fuel up with a healthy breakfast before school and nutritious snacks throughout the day.

  3. Sending a thank you card: It takes a village… Think of everyone who has been there along the way, helping your child to grow and learn. This may be a good time to send them a note of appreciation.

  4. Exploring the benefits of language immersion: At INIC Preschool, we focus on Spanish immersion, which leads to higher math, reading, emotional, and analytical skills. Learn about additional preschool benefits of language immersion here (even for infants).

  5. Visiting a museum: For some out-and-about, hands-on learning, take a trip to a museum. This can be a fun way to soak up knowledge with friends and family.

  6. Applying for a teaching job: Perhaps you want to take this all a step further and serve as an educator yourself. You’re in luck: INIC is hiring teachers with a passion for preschoolers in Round Rock and Austin

  7. Donating gently used books: Another wise way to commemorate International Day of Education is by sharing the gift of learning; you can go through your home library, pick out the ones that aren’t used any longer, and donate them.

  8. Giving a gift: You can also give a present of appreciation (such as a gift certificate or flowers) to an educator and/or give your little scholar a special something (since each and every day, they are learning and growing and shining:).

  9. Reading a book: While going through all your books, pick out some favorites, gather everyone around, and enjoy storytime together.

  10. Scheduling a tour: Finally (if you haven’t already), we encourage you to use this time to schedule a tour of our Spanish immersion preschool, where we celebrate education all year long!

In addition to providing ideas for International Day of Education, we also want to THANK YOU. We couldn’t do it without this wonderful community of staff, students, parents, and volunteers. We appreciate all the support, and we’re honored to help shape the minds of our future leaders. Happy learning!
